Allard Helms, a sophomore pitcher from The Netherlands, had a strong showing in helping the Cougars down No. 25 Central Arizona College on Tuesday 4-3. Helms went eight innings in scattering seven hits and allowing just three runs. Helms struck out four as he faced just 32 batters. That was his fifth appearance of the year and he has now tossed 22.2 innings and has 21 strikeouts on the season.
