WNCC Athletics Accessibility Statement
At Western Nebraska Community College, we believe access and inclusion are essential to who we are. We want every member of our community — students, families, alumni, fans, and visitors — to be able to fully engage with the WNCC Athletics website.
Our Commitment
WNCC is working toward meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We are continually reviewing and improving our online content to make it more accessible and user‑friendly for everyone.
What We’re Doing
Our team is actively enhancing accessibility by:

Adding meaningful alt text to images

Providing captions for video content

Using clear, consistent headings and page structure

Improving readability and color contrast

Reducing reliance on non‑accessible PDFs

Training staff on accessible content practices
These steps help ensure our digital spaces reflect the same commitment to access that guides our work across campus.
Platform Upgrade
The current athletics website operates on a legacy platform that does not fully meet the new federal digital accessibility requirements taking effect in April 2026. WNCC has begun the process of transitioning to PrestoSports’ modern, ADA‑compliant platform. This upgrade will significantly improve accessibility and the overall experience for all visitors.
During this transition, we will continue making improvements within the capabilities of our existing system.
